90 Days to AI Payback

Working AI in your firm in 90 days. Measured in hours and dollars.

For law, accounting, commercial real estate, private equity, executive search, and A&E firms of 30 to 300 people. I find where your people are inefficient, build one to three solutions that run inside your business, and hand your executive team an ROI they can defend.

02 / 14Why now?

Scale your margin.
Not your headcount.

Whether you bill by the hour or by the project, manual work is quietly killing your margins.

Every managing partner I meet tells me the same story. Employees are hard to find and margins are tight. For decades the formula was simple: more revenue meant more people. AI breaks that formula. It turns weeks of boring employee work into minutes.

If you bill hourly (law and accounting)

Efficiency lowers your revenue unless you change what you sell. You have to move from selling time to selling outcomes.

If you bill fixed fees (PE, brokerage, A&E)

Manual work burns your profit. You work twice as hard as necessary for the same fee.

The reality: bolting AI onto an old business model is inefficient. You have to move from selling effort to selling impact. In 90 days I give you the proof, in your own firm's numbers.

03 / 14Who is this for?

Built for firms that run on expertise.

“90 Days to AI Payback” works when a firm fits a certain shape and the right person is sponsoring it. Here is how to tell.

A great fit if

Not a fit if

  • You want to buy a tool, announce it, and change nothing about how the work gets done.
  • No one at the firm can give the project time each week. The build needs your champions in the room a few hours each week.
  • You want a long research report before anything gets built.
  • You want a vendor to run your AI for you forever. The point of the 90 days is to build a process where people and AI work together and you own it.
04 / 14What do I get, and how long does it take?

90 Days to AI Payback, week by week.

Successful AI adoption is 70% human and 30% technology. So the work starts with your people, and it ends with a number.

Weeks 1 to 2
The Friction Audit
Where are your people stuck?

I interview the people who do the work and find the manual drudgery that eats their time. Each opportunity gets sized in hours and dollars and assessed for how hard it is, both technically and culturally. Then we pick the one to three projects worth building and catalog the key tools and data.

You get: a Friction Map and an ROI scorecard.

Weeks 3 to 10
The Human-First Build
Solutions built with humans for humans.

We build AI Payback Projects inside your firm, not a demo or pilot. I do the heavy lifting. Your two AI champions help build a bridge to the team and processes, making sure real use cases are working. They leave certified to run what we build, so the change sticks after I leave.

You get: one to three live workflows and two certified champions.

Weeks 11 to 12
The Number
What did it pay back?

We measure what the workflows saved against the scorecard from week two. Then I write it up the way a partner meeting needs it: hours, dollars, and what to do next, with the strategy for the twelve months that follow.

You get: a partner-ready ROI pack and a 12-month roadmap.

After day 90

You own everything that is built. Firms that want to keep going hire me as a fractional Chief AI Officer. That is an option, not a phase. No lock-in.

08 / 14Who does the work?

Built by operators. Not just technologists.

The AI market is full of futurists predicting the next decade. I focus on next week. I am Brad Bush, a former CEO, COO, CIO, and sales leader. I have sat in your seat, and I read AI through the P&L, not the code.

Executive fluency

I bridge the server room and the board room. Fluent in EBITDA and sales velocity as much as in models and APIs.

Culture and change management

Technology is easy. People are the hard part. 70% of adoption is human change, and that gets the most attention. So your team adopts AI solutions.

About Brad
09 / 14What is the catch?

What firm leaders ask before they say yes.

We cannot add headcount to run this.

You do not hire anyone. I do the heavy lifting, and two of your own people become the champions who run it after day 90. The more AI does, the more these embedded AI experts matter.

Read: why your people matter more

We tried an AI pilot. It fizzled.

Pilots fail because they never touch the real work and nobody owns them. AI Payback Projects live inside your core processes, with the people who own them, and are measured starting from week two.

Read: why AI pilots fail

AI is not a priority for us right now.

Doing nothing is the most common decision firms make, and the most expensive. AI is becoming an imperative across professional services, and your competitors are not waiting to move on a technology that changes how a firm works. The 90 days are built so you can start without stopping anything else.

Read: the advantage nobody announces

Faster work means fewer billable hours.

Then price the outcome instead of the hours. I will give you the math so that your firm can have that conversation internally and with clients. You will be able to see it in your own figures.

Our data is a mess.

Many AI firms will not start until you clean up your data. This is just not practical. The Friction Audit finds the processes where the data is good enough to start, and we start there. If you wait for perfect data, you will never start.

Our partners will not adopt it.

The champions are picked early in the project from the people who have a passion for AI. Partners adopt what their own people build and can show them how it works.

IT will kill it.

We bring your technologists on from day one. We look at how AI solutions will work from a security and governance point of view. The goal is to get everybody at the table aligned and saying yes.

My board and my partners think this is a risky gamble.

It is a fixed scope for a flat fee, with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If it is not working in the first 30 days, you stop, get your money back, and keep every piece of work done to date.

10 / 14What if it fails?

A 30-day money-back guarantee.

If at any point in the first 30 days you decide this is not working, say so. You get your money back and you keep every piece of work done to date. No questions asked. The fee is flat and the scope is fixed, so you know both before we start.

Full refund in the first 30 days You keep all work to date No questions asked Flat fee, fixed scope
11 / 14What else do buyers ask?

The practical questions, answered plainly.

How much of my team's time does this take?

Less than you expect. A partner or owner sponsors the solutions. Two people become your AI champions and work alongside Brad in a standing weekly session. The people who run the workflow daily do interviews early on. Brad does the heavy lifting on the build.

What does it cost?

One flat fee for the full 90 days, with a fixed scope of one to three AI Payback Projects in one core process. You know the fee before we start. There is no hourly billing and no open-ended retainer. The fee is quoted after the briefing, once we know the process and the size of the firm.

What tools do you use?

We use the tools your firm already pays for whenever possible, plus the next generation of AI models. We only turn to new tools when the Friction Audit shows there is a real advantage in covering a gap. Every tool built is one that stays with your team. Nothing walks out the door when the 90 days are over.

Is our client data safe?

Governance is part of the process. You get a full governance plan as part of the Friction Audit, and I help you implement it along the way as part of the solutions. We make sure your client data is safe and that you understand it well enough to explain it to your customers.

What if it does not work?

In the first 30 days you can stop, get your money back and keep every piece of work done to date, no questions asked. After that, the ROI scorecard from week two is our referee. If a workflow does not pay back, the ROI says so plainly.

What happens after the 90 days?

You own everything we built and your two champions know the intricacies of the solutions. Scale it, hand it off, or pause. Firms that want to keep going hire Brad as a fractional Chief AI Officer. That is an option, not a requirement, and there is no lock-in.

What does Strategy for AI do?

Strategy for AI is an advisory and implementation firm founded by Brad Bush, a former CEO, COO, CIO and sales leader. It helps professional-services firms of roughly 30 to 300 people, including law, accounting, commercial real estate, private equity, executive search, architecture and engineering, put AI to work in their real processes and measure the result in hours and dollars.

12 / 14What happens next?

Thirty minutes. No sales deck.

Tell me about the issues and processes that cause the most friction and take the most hours away from your team. I will come back and honestly tell you whether you fit the 90 Days to AI Payback process. All calls are with me, Brad Bush.

What to expect on the call
  • Thirty minutes, on your calendar, with Brad.
  • You talk first. The process, the people, and what it costs you today.
  • If we are a mutual fit, you will have a proposal within 24 hours.
  • If it is not, Brad will say so and find you someone who can help.
